H&M now featuring Marni
Although we just saw Versace at H&M, it seems like they didn’t want you to walk away too fast without luring you in to see another designer label, Marni
Back in November, H&M announced their collaboration with the Italian fashion label for this Spring 2012. So in select stores, you too will be able to find affordable HIGH END fashion by Marni, this Thursday March 8th.
The collection will feature full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers, jacquard knit with African inspired print, soft color blocks, shoes and accessories. Fashions for women and men can be bought in those select locations. The merchandise will be 260 stores as well as on-line.
According to Telegraph.co.uk, founder of Marni, Consuelo Castiglioni said “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revitalizing all our favorite pieces in signature graphics and prints. I love juxtaposing print and colors, mixing tribal with Bauhous graphic adding sporty to utilitarian elements. “
H&M has a short film that features stars like Milla Jovovich, Drew Barrymore, and Jessica Chastain wearing the new collection at an LA premier. You can see the film on Youtube.
If you are in NY, the following locations should carry the collection:
In Flatiron: 115 Fifth Ave
Soho: 515 Broadway
Uptown: 150 E 86th Street and 640 Fifth Ave
Midtown: 435 Seventh Ave and 1328 Broadway
Marni is founded by Consuelo Castiglioni in 1994. She work with fur and treated the fur as if it were fabric. She created modern wearable fashions and began Marni, named for her sister. That also then created a need for something to wear underneath the furs and she was then known for her bold prints, color and overt sex appeal. She then developed a collection for men in 2007.
Happy Shopping!
