Trend-Spotting!

Spotlight some fashion!
     Hello Fellow Fashionistas!
Every week, I am going to high-light an outfit, garment, or trend that I find fun, every Friday. So if there is something that catches your eye, please let me know and I may post it as my Fabulous Friday style of the week.

This week, I would love to point out color block dresses. They are fun, colorful expressions that can high-light your features, depending what colors are placed on your body. This dress from Tory Burch is lovely. I love the mixing of a soft color with bright. If you want to down play your bust, wear your bold color on your bottom. This dress is bold and sophistacated.

Resort 2012

Resort 2012

All the big name department stores are currently having their sales on items they wish to sell before the end of the year and clear up the inventory for the new items for spring. Along with that, we are seeing Resort being featured too. These are the items you see that will preview your way into spring but are really for those that are going on holiday.

So most of the items you will see are swimsuits (I know, a little disturbing now that you have devoured your Christmas cookies), accessories, casual pants that can be worn into the spring season, lighter weight  sweaters, and sandals.

Right now, Neiman Marcus is featuring some exciting trends for resort like: bright pinks, yellow accents, neon colors, colored bottoms, scuba style swimsuits, and prints.

Lord and Taylor has on their site swimwear, cover ups, sportswear items like sweaters, capris and casual pants.

Nordstroms’s Resort items include various types of espadrilles and cover ups.

Saks Fifth Ave Resort features wedges and various printed items that will take you into the spring season.

Whether you are vacationing on the Riviera, or just a cruise around the Caribbean, the stores have plenty items to add to your luggage. If you are not going on a trip anytime soon, there are some great items that will just help you transition into the spring season.

Walking the Windows of NYC

Window Shopping!
During my travels in and out of the BIG CITY, I often forget how great and full of wonder is the city. This week I decided to take some time to be a tourist and look around MY GRAND CITY, New York.
