Happy Halloween!
With the endless number of the choices of Halloween costumes in your local store, it can be quite overwhelming to choose “who to be” this season. I find the most inspirational costumes can come from characters of movies. For the most popular movies, you will be able to buy a “ready-to wear” costume. For some obscure characters and movies, you will need to have a little imagination and some creativity.
My favorite thing to do is to study the character and movies you like and pick out out-fits that unique to the character and try to replicate what that person wears. For instance, if you like Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, pulling out a simple black dress and heals will be the base for your out-fit. Then getting some large sunglasses, a cigarette holder, pearls and a tiara, can complete the look. My suggestion this year would be “Girl with Dragon Tattoo” With a little imagination, you can find pieces for cheap, in stores or already in your closet.
I personally love it when the costumes are more “fashionable” and less slutty. Often times a “sexy cop” or a “Sexy cow girl” defeats the purpose of Halloween. I think it is great if you can become your fantasy or even someone’s nightmare.
Whatever you wear this year or where ever you go, just make sure you are dressed fabulous and loving it!
