Winter Favorites:
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, these are just a
few of my favorite things…
There are still a few more months of winter left, before we
will feel the true warmth of the sun, on the east coast. No matter
where you live, there will be moments, when you will suffer from dry skin, hair,
or lips.
This week’s Fabulous Fridays picks are all little products
that will help feel less dry, during those moments.
1. FRESH
SUGAR lip balms. One my
favorite little items that I keep in my purse. Keeps the lips moist and if you
want a little color, there are versions that have a tint of color. Better than
lip stick because it moisturizes.
Buy a tube for $22.50 at Sephora
2. EOS
lip balm. A cute tiny egg that packs HUGE moisturing power. You will
love how it is organic and smells and tastes refreshing. Wonderful fruit
flavors like honeydew and strawberry sorbet, you will be going back for more,
even when your lips are not dry.
An average egg can be found at your local
drug store for about $2.99

3. Keihl’s
Lip Balm. Clean and moisturizing, with a little bit of flavor.
This lip balm is small enough to fit in a tiny clutch or in your pocket. You
can find it on flavors like Mango, Coconut, and Vanilla.
A tube can cost about $9.50 and can be
bought on the site http://alamode.styleowner.com
4. Fructis
“Wonder Waves” texturizer: Do you ever want perfect waves or add a
little texture to hair that can be a little flat? I love this product to help
me keep my waves, in check. It smells great and you don’t need a lot. So your
hair is not weighed down or goopy with gel. You can pick it up for $3.99 at a
CVS near you. http://www.cvs.com/shop/product-detail/Garnier-Fructis-Style-Wonder-Waves-Wave-Enhancing-Spray?skuId=475086
5. Fructis
“Brilliant Shine”: after you style your hair, sometimes the blow
dryer will leave it looking a little dull. Put some luster back with the “spot
shine” products from Fructis. I love this as "a touch up" but don’t spray too
much or you'll flatten your hair-do. Get yours for $3.99 at Walgreens. http://www.walgreens.com/search/results.jsp?No=32&Ntt=fructis
6. Moroccan
Oil: This product works pretty well on ends. It has an exotic smell and
if you just apply it at the tips of your hair before blow drying, you can help
prevent split ends. You can get a .85oz bottle at beauty supplies for about
$13.50. http://www.bestbeautyboutique.com/servlet/the-1455/Moroccan-Oil%27s-MOROCCAN-OIL/Detail?zmam=59822799&zmas=1&zmac=33&zmap=6280&gclid=CM-l_aDv8LQCFcqY4Aod1A0Atg
7. Keihl’s
Ultimate Strength Hand Salve: Great for keeping in your bag, for the
coldest of days. Ultra moisturizing. I love this because it has a very mild
fragrance and it sooths dry skin. Pick up a bottle for $15 at Neiman Marcus
8. Pureology
Anit-split blow dry cream: I don’t blow dry my hair too often,
but I do color treat it. So when I do blow dry, using Pureology cream is great
to reduce overdrying hair, when you blow dry and color treating hair. Just a small dab
in your damp hair can keep hair moist. Also, it smells pretty too. $25 on line
or at a Salon near you. Here is more about the company. http://www.pureology.com/?cm_mmc=LabeliumSearch-_-Google-_-Pureology+Brand-_-%2Bpureology&gclid=CIu1zLvx8LQCFQSf4AodAgMAFQ
9. True Blue Shea Cashmere hand cream: This is a great hand cream that isn't greasy and smells amazing. I love this little tube of moister for right before I go to bed or on my way out the door. You can get a tube for about $10 at Bath and Body Works.
Whatever your needs are for moistening,
there are many products that will keep it under control.
Stay
warm, style moist, and Happy Shopping!
